Greetings, all.

Normally, we'd have the January shout out, but that will be for tomorrow.

Today, two years ago, we lost the creator of this show. Monty Oum, who had previously been hired to work on RvB. In one of Burnie's most fateful decisions, he told Monty that he could pitch a show to him once they had finished production of their current season. Monty, in turn, showed Burnie an animation of Crescent Rose (in prototype form), and the rest was history.

Today, we should not mourn the loss of the great man; rather, we should celebrate how far we have come and how far we shall go! Look around you! Hundreds of artists, writers, cosplayers, all working with passion to which Monty would surely give a nod of approval. This is a strong connection all of us share, and I firmly believe that we will continue to move forward!

And finally, before we continue with our school, our job, both, or get back to gitting gud at Dark Souls, here's HemboHero's Monty Compliation. Have a good day, everyone!

Still miss him, and I think I saw a picture on the Rooster Teeth Facebook page that his old mo-cap suit is framed at their office in Austin, Texas. As a healthcare professional I still remember how his cause of death hit me, and how there are still people who underestimate how serious allergies can be. I still remember the memorial RT Podcast when Burnie said how, shortly after Monty's death, he found it so weird to see the mo-cap suit on a hanger motionless because of how Monty was just always moving and working in it. That is the sort of thing most people do not think about and it just hit me like a sack of bricks. Monty's creation has come so far since 2015, even with the expected production drama that usually befalls a series which outlives its creator and I wish he could have seen it, and I sometimes find myself wondering how much more he could have done had he the chance. I hope that, wherever his magnificent soul now rests, he can take pride in how his work has impacted the world.

Rest in peace Mr. Oum, and as per your orders I will indeed always move forward.
